Catching Up

So much has happened since my last post. Let's see...I'm separated from my husband, living in Bloomington now, gaming much more than before, spending very little time reading, writing almost nothing...but still addicted to technology.

The first item is better left for private conversation. Come on, it's never easy and if someone tells you it is they are probably lying. The second, well, Bloomington has always felt like home to me so when I was looking for a place to land I ended up here. I couldn't be happier with it if I tried. Well, not entirely true. Having a house would be better instead of this apartment but, hey, I'll survive. I've made some amazing friends whilest I have been here; ones that I never in a million years would have imagined having. They are smart, beautiful, funny, full of life, and for some reason seem to like me. *Squee*

Third. Gaming! Oh wow my gaming life has changed drastically over the past year. I joined one superhero game and then another and then another and then a Hogwarts style game and then another superhero game. And, you'll love this, I recently took over one of the superhero games when the HST (Head Storyteller) stepped down. Stressful but fun is how I would describe my gaming life right now. I love every second of it.

Reading and writing I think have been the two things I have avoided at length and I'm not really sure why. I still feel the voracious hunger for the written word but haven't gone out of my way to read anything other than the posts on the forums for the games I'm in. I picked up R.A. Salvatore's "The Demon Awakens" to read. Instead of finishing it off in a weekend I've been picking my way through it for almost a year. Seeing that makes me sad. I should make more time for my reading and then maybe I'll be able to break through this wall my book characters have erected to keep me out. I hear them chattering but can't seem to write down what they are saying. It comes out flat and uninteresting. Any other writers have that problem? Please tell me I'm not the only one.

I will promise here and now that I will work harder on reading more and posting to this and my food blog on a more regular basis. Maybe once a month to start.

Blessed Be.
